About
Built From Experience
I played college basketball at the Division III level, serving as a team captain and competing in high-level postseason play, including Elite 8 and two Sweet 16 appearances.
Through years of competitive experience, I’ve developed a deep understanding of skill development, basketball IQ, and what it takes to improve at every level.
Today, I use that experience to help players build confidence, improve fundamentals, and develop a structured approach to their game through online training.
I am licensed by USA basketball.
Mission Statement: To help dedicated basketball players maximize their potential through skill development, basketball IQ training, film analysis, and recruiting mentorship while building the confidence, discipline, and character needed to succeed on and off the court.
Vision Statement: To become a trusted leader in basketball player development by empowering athletes with the knowledge, guidance, and resources needed to reach their goals and compete at the collegiate level and beyond.
My goal is to help athletes become more skilled, confident, and prepared to perform at a higher level. Through personalized training, accountability, and feedback, athletes will develop habits that lead to long-term success on and off the court.
What Athletes Can Expect
Skill Development
Improve key basketball fundamentals including ball handling, shooting, finishing, footwork, and overall offensive skill development through structured training plans.
Basketball IQ
Learn how to make better decisions, read the game more effectively, and understand situations that impact performance during competition.
Confidence & Accountability
Develop confidence through consistent work and accountability. Athletes will learn how to train with purpose and take ownership of their development.
Long -Term Growth
Build habits and routines that support continuous improvement and prepare athletes for higher levels of competition.
Every athlete's journey is different. Programs are customized to fit each player's goals, skill level, and development needs.
Why Most Players Aren’t Improving
Problem
A lot of players are training, but not developing.
They go into the gym and repeat the same workouts every day, without structure or progression. There’s no real focus on decision-making, no feedback, and no connection to how the game is actually played.
That’s why you see players who work hard… but it doesn’t translate to in-game performance.
Real development requires a system, not random workouts.
The Solution
Your training will be built around a structured, game-based approach to development.
Every player follows a plan designed around their strengths, weaknesses, and goals — so every workout has a purpose.
Instead of random drills, training focuses on skill development, decision-making, and basketball IQ that directly translates into games.

My Coaching Philosophy
I believe that great player development starts with consistency, accountability, and attention to detail. While talent can create opportunities, long-term success comes from building strong habits and committing to the daily process of improvement.
As a college basketball player and team captain, I have experienced firsthand the dedication required to compete at a high level. My goal is to help athletes not only improve their basketball skills but also develop confidence, discipline, and a growth mindset that will benefit them both on and off the court.
Every athlete develops at a different pace, which is why I focus on creating personalized plans that address individual strengths, weaknesses, and goals.

Take ownership of your development and commit to consistent improvement.
Discipline
Success is built through daily habits and attention to detail.
Confidence
Confidence comes from preparation and consistent work.
Growth
Focus on progress over perfection and embrace the learning process.
My Story
Basketball has been a major part of my life for over 15 years. Throughout my journey, I've had the opportunity to compete at a high level, learn from incredible coaches and players, and experience both the highs and lows that come with the game.
In high school, I helped lead Barrington High School to a 3rd-place finish in the Illinois State Tournament and spent two years competing on the Under Armour AAU Circuit with Fundamental U. Along the way, I trained alongside NBA players, overseas professionals, and high-level Division I athletes, gaining valuable insight into what it takes to succeed at the highest levels of basketball.
I played collegiate basketball at Illinois Wesleyan University, where I served as a team captain and helped lead our program to an NCAA Elite Eight appearance and two Sweet Sixteen appearances. These experiences have taught me the importance of leadership, discipline, and consistency in player development.
While I am proud of those accomplishments, my basketball journey has not always been easy. I've experienced the excitement of earning a starting role and competing in meaningful games, but I've also experienced the disappointment of losing opportunities, facing setbacks, multiple injuries, and having to earn my way back. Those challenges taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of continuing to work when things aren't going your way.
Because of those experiences, I understand that every athlete's journey is different. Development is rarely a straight line. There will be moments of success, moments of frustration, and obstacles that test your commitment. My goal is to help athletes navigate those challenges, stay focused on their growth, and become the best players they can be.
Through personalized coaching, structured development plans, and ongoing support, I strive to help athletes improve their skills, build confidence, and develop the habits necessary for long-term success both on and off the court.
Testimonials
“Nathan is a great example of a leader on and off the court. Having the privilege of being his teammate on a high-achieving collegiate basketball team showed me his leadership and the respect he has for others. Beyond that, his basketball IQ and knowledge of the game set him apart. He’s well rounded and understands what it takes to succeed at multiple levels, from the fundamentals to the mental side of the game. Nathen is someone I can confidently turn to when I need help on the court, and I believe he can bring that to others as well.”
—Alex Miller, IWU Men’s Basketball Player“Nate is one of the most skilled and hardest working players I have ever had the privilege of sharing the court with. His leadership on and off the court is something that stands out immediately, always holding himself and everyone around him to the highest standard. He has a brilliant basketball mind and the work ethic to match, consistently being the first one in the gym and the last one to leave. Training alongside Nathan pushed me to become a better player and a better competitor, because his drive is truly contagious.”
